报告人简介

Zhong Lu is the Shuler-Foscue endowed chair professor of geophysics at Department of Earth Sciences, Southern Methodist University, Dallas, Texas, USA. His research interests include technique developments of interferometric synthetic aperture radar (InSAR) processing and their applications to the study of natural and human-induced geohazards. Dr. Lu has published 1 book, 50 lead-authored and 190 co-authored peer-reviewed articles and book chapters. Dr. Lu is a member of NASA-ISRO SAR (NISAR) Science Team.

报告简介

InSAR can be used to map ground surface deformation caused by active landslides. Time-series landslide motions then allow to unveil landslide attributes and processes through geophysical modeling. Dr. Lu will present recent progress on studying hydrology-driven and human-induced landslide hazards in northwestern US.
