PhD candidates must select directly on our website the research proposal they are interested in.

The candidates will be required to fill in the online application form available at the address:http://apply.polito.it/index_en.html and follow the procedure for application explained in the webpage.

The documents required for your online application will be:

A copy of both sides of a valid ID document bearing the applicant's photo and signature;

A certificate relating to:

achievement of the Bachelor of Science (level I), with final grade, date and place of award;

achievement of the Master of Science (level II), with final grade, date and place of award;

transcript of the examinations passed during the whole academic career with their relative marks, date and place of award;

Applicants who obtain a degree after the deadlines of submission of the application forms, but within (and not after) the month of October 2014, can participate in the admission procedures

Certificate attesting the proficiency of English language with its mark, date and place of award;We accept only one of the following certificate of English proficiency:

IELTS with minimum band 5.0;

TOEFL internet based test with minimum score 77or Computer-based test with a minimum score of 210, or Paper-based test with a minimum score of 547;

Cambridge ESOL examinations - General English exams with minimum level PET, pass with merit;

abstract of Master's degree thesis: the abstract must have a maximum length of two pages (4,000 characters);

short report on the scientific interests (related to the research proposal chosen) of the candidate and his/her motivations to carry out the PhD: the report must have a maximum length of two pages (4,000 characters);

name and email references of two professors of Italian or foreign universities that can be contacted by the commission about the applicant;Please note: THE PREVIOUS DOCUMENTS ARE ALL COMPULSORY.

certificate with GRE results (General Test or Subject Test related to the PhD), GMAT or equivalents, if available;

any other document that the applicant considers a possible support to his/her application (awards, professional activities, publications, etc.);

The application deadline is JANUARY 17, 2014.

The applications will be evaluated by a board nominated by the Doctoral School, supervised by the coordinator of the Program chosen and the scientific responsible of the research proposal.

In the middle of February selection outcomes will be published on our website. Admission letters will be ready on February 15th, 2014.
