Prof. Tong Hao received the B.Sc. degree from Nanjing University, Nanjing, China, in 2003, the M.Phil. degree in 

electronic and electrical engineering from the University of Bath, Bath, U.K., in 2004, and the D.Phil. degree in 

engineering science from the University of Oxford, Oxford, U.K., in 2009. From 2010 to 2011, he was a Post-Doctoral 

Research Fellow with the University of Birmingham, Birmingham, U.K. From 2012 to 2014, he was a Specialist with 

the Oil and Gas Sector, General Electric Company, Farnborough, U.K. He is currently a Full Professor with the College

of Surveying and Geo-Informatics, Tongji University, Shanghai, China. His research interests include nondestructive 

testing using electromagnetic and acoustic technologies, enhanced detection, and sensing of buried infrastructures.
